new2.gif (159 bytes)BOSE Acoustimass[tm] Cube Replacement Drivers: 2.75" square frame "Twiddler" [wide range driver].  This type driver is  over $50 each from Bose, but we have a good replacement for only $35 pair. This is Sony's version used in their HT speaker systems and some high end XBR tv's. Frame is identical to the Bose part so they drop right in. Use them to repair your blown "cube" drivers, replace a mid-tweeter in many older speakers, or in constructing your own set of custom micro speakers. They are video shielded and can be run full range with a low powered amp, making them ideal as upgrade drivers for most any computer speaker system. Usable range is from about 250Hz up to 16kHz, but they would have better power handling if crossed at 350Hz or higher. Don't expect much bass, but vocals are remarkably clean and clear, highs extend well enough that a separate tweeter isn't really called for.

new2.gif (159 bytes)Klipsch 8" Shielded Woofers: A high quality paper cone/ rubber surround woofer in an oversized cast resin basket. A wide response range [35Hz-4.5kHz] makes this woofer ideal for use in 2-way systems. The added bucking magnet provides sufficient shielding to allow use near your TV. These have a 1.5" voice coil [4 ohm] and a rating of 80w RMS/ 125 music. $79/pair

Athena Technologies 1" Tetron[tm] Shielded Dome tweeter: Amazing sound quality in a fully shielded tweeter for only $35 each. From the Canadian company behind both Energy and Mirage, comes this unusual looking tweeter which combines a new, very sheer synthetic dome material Tetron with a controlled directivity faceplate [5 1/8" x 3 3/8"] and heavy magnet assembly. The result is a tweeter with detail and resolution approaching the level of high dollar Danish drivers at 1/2 to 1/3 the price. The unique faceplate shape combines a controlled dispersion waveguide with a cutout to allow placement closer to the midbass driver. The special synthetic dome material has a higher strength to weight ratio than silk, allowing it to be much lighter without sacrificing mechanical rigidity. Fs is low enough to allow crossover points down to 2kHz while maintaining good power handling.

Clarion 2 ohm 8" and 10" subs: Very well built for the money, heavy [double thick] poly cones and oversized rubber hi-roll surrounds. These subs can generate deep bass in tiny boxes at the expense of lower efficiency [no free lunch]. Both have a 30oz vented magnet and 2 ohm 1.5" voice coil. Frames are oversized with an extra wide sealing flange [8" is actually 8.25", 10" is 10.5"]. The 10" has a  rubber mass loaded dustcap for an extra low resonance frequency. Use "as-is" for car stereo applications or wire pairs in series to get a 4 ohm load needed by home sub amps. Priced slashed to only $30 [8"] and $35 [10"] each, only 2pr of each size left].

new2.gif (159 bytes)Klipsch Heresy 12" Custom Woofer: Finally back in stock!!! Our own custom upgrade woofer for the classic Klipsch Heresy speaker. Manufactured using the same cone and frame as the stock part, but with an extra long voice coil to allow for a longer throw and consequently lower distortion on deep bass passages the make the stock woofer have a fit. This is a direct drop-in replacement for both the Heresy 1 and 2, no cabinet or crossover changes required. This woofer is also VERY popular to use as a tone-matching add-on sub for any Klipsch system. With a proper sized vented cabinet these woofers are capable of producing usable bass down to the low 30's while still maintaining very good efficiency. sale extended, just $79 each

Energy 8" woofers: sold out

Bose 2.5" Stereo Targeting(tm) Tweeters: Direct replacement for OEM Bose tweeters used in the 401, 4001, later 501 [most], and 701, $29/pair

Bose 3" Direct/ Reflecting Tweeters: Exact replacements for Bose 201, 301, older 501, and 601 speakers. Round flange with rear screw mounting, $29/pr. Bose no longer supplies this part...we have one of the only remaining stocks. Great general replacement tweeter for older speakers where you want to keep the cone tweeter sound.

new2.gif (159 bytes)Bose 2.5" Tweeters: Looks just like the larger 301 tweeters but this 2.5" round frame version was used in the 4.2 and a few other models. Cone is textured. $29/pr. Also makes a good general replacement tweeter where a higher crossover point [3K and up] can be used.

B.I.C. Ventura 1" silk dome tweeter: Smooth wide range response from these high quality coated silk dome tweeters. 3.3"H x 4.5"W rectangular faceplate, 8ohm, 93dB SPL [sensitivity and directivity are improved from a slight horn loading of the faceplate], use from 3-20kHz, last one only $19.00 [reg. $30]

Infinity Kappa 8" woofers, IMG cone: SOLD OUT , but we have an almost identical woofer from AR. Both the sealed box Infinity woofer and the AR version were made in the same factory, only difference is the appearance of the cone and the surround material. The AR version has a rubber surround, which will last much longer than the foam used by Infinity. Cost of the AR woofer is $58 each. We do have a few Infinity 8" SM series woofers left, $39 ea, these are a laminated paper cone/ foam surround, made for small sealed boxes but work well in larger vented boxes.

Infinity "SM" 5.25" midrange: This is a 5.25" laminate cone midrange with an attached rear chamber, this model was used in the very popular Infinity SM [studio monitor] series speakers. Use these to upgrade/ repair you current speakers or in a new 3-way system. Usable response from 500Hz up to 5,000Hz with 50 watt power handling, 4 ohm, 94dB, surplus price only $25 each [cost about $60 from the mfr.]

Infinity 5.25" shielded drivers: 6 Ohm, only 4 pieces left, $29 each,

200w Home Theater Subwoofer Amp: Build your own powered sub! Designed to be built in to a sub cabinet [or its own enclosure], this high quality amp features both line and speaker level inputs, a variable [50 Hz-100 Hz] electronic low pass crossover, line and main speaker outputs, Auto turn on, and full overload/thermal/short circuit protection. Designed to run 4 or 8 ohm loads, the output is 150 watts RMS x1 into 8 ohm or 200w RMS x1 into 4 ohm. This amp is very stable and can push difficult 4 ohm loads with no problem. This type sub amp [often with fewer features and less real power] normally sells for $180-$200 through other suppliers, but we have them available for only $159 each, fully assembled with heavy duty transformer and speaker wiring harness.

300W Home Theater Sub Amp: Same features as above but 175w RMS into 8 ohm, 300W RMS into 4 ohm, a definite must if you want to run the new Peerless XLS 12" sub, only $224 ea.
